From the start, our mission has been to create GPS tracking technology and to offer GPS tracking products that stand out.

Our founder, Mark Garcia, first encountered GPS technology in the mid-1990s when he was working in surface contamination monitoring. The lack of technology at the time meant he had to take physical measurements and make a grid on the land. One day, he noticed some technicians using GPS surveying, and it stuck with him.

Years later, he was working as a medical physicist and wanted to do something different. So, he combined his experience with the latest GPS technology and established High Desert GPS.

Garcia appreciates the many practical uses for GPS. He’s particularly interested in how the technology can be used to keep children, the elderly, and people with illnesses and disabilities safe.
